DTL will participate in a pilot project to evaluate FAIR Data Points as new EUDAT services helping data owners to make their datasets available in a FAIR way. A FAIR Data Point (FDP) is software that allows:
- data owners to expose datasets in a FAIR manner
- data users to discover information (meta-data) about the offered datasets and, if license conditions allow, to actually access the data.
A FDP offers both a graphical user interface (GUI) for human clients and an application programming interface (API) for software clients.
Currently, the first versions of FDPs are being designed and developed in the context of ODEX4all, BBMRI 2.0, RD-Connect and the Elixir Rare Disease pilot.
