The BioInformatics Industrial User Platform (BIUP) is a DTL Interest Group consisting of Dutch companies that use bioinformatics expertise and tools in their research and product development. It is an open platform for knowledge exchange and informal discussions. On 27 January 2017, BIUP will organise a company visit to Genetwister in Wageningen.
The company visit will bring together companies interested in bioinformatics to share experiences through presentations and discussions. The programme starts at 15:00 and will be concluded at around 17:00 with drinks and networking opportunities. You can register and find more details on the event page on the DTL website (max. number of participants: 20!).
About DTL Interest Groups
Experts from various backgrounds have formed groups under the DTL umbrella to exchange experiences, create solutions for common challenges, and coordinate the development of guidelines and standards (Read more). Interest groups constitute an example of such expert groups. DTL interest groups share best practices and promote collaborations. The DTL core team provides meeting rooms and tries to find a young researcher to chair the group. An interest group can also form working groups that tackle specific issues. Both interest groups and working groups can be supported with a good software development environment, mailing lists, a website and a wiki to exchange information.
