DTL partner Castor EDC has received a Horizon2020 SME Instrument grant of over 1.1 million euros from the European Commission. Castor EDC is one of the few Dutch companies that have successfully claimed a large grant within the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument programme. With this incentive, Castor EDC will come one step closer to fulfilling its mission: the global access of big data for analysis in medical research.
Castor EDC will use the grant to develop a self-learning system based on Artificial Intelligence. The system will help and guide researchers by introducing them to other researchers. They can exchange protocols, standardise questionnaires, and make their research data FAIR: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. Castor EDC is thus building a network of researchers, allowing easy international information exchange and collaboration.
