The Netherlands has unprecedented opportunities to exploit its strong position in big data research to improve healthcare and the well-being of citizens. That is the conclusion of the report ‘Think BIG: DATA for Health’, commissioned by Commit2Data.
The Commit2Data programme was created to further develop the use of Big Data. It is a multi-year national research and innovation programme on the basis of a public-private partnership. The ‘Think BIG’ report is based on an inventory under a selection of experts, which was conducted by researcher Sandra Migchielsen. She interviewed experts in research, industry, and healthcare, including several people that are actively involved in DTL.
