Publication How to be FAIR with your data

We are happy to announce the recent publication of “How to be FAIR with your data: A teaching and training handbook for higher education institutions”. The handbook was created by a group of about 40 collaborators (a.o. Mijke Jetten – DTL, Health-RI – and Ronald Cornet – Amsterdam UMC, ELIXIR-NL) in a series of book sprints and a subsequent editorial process. . It is complemented by a report with case studies of successful integration of FAIR and RDM-related content in university curricula and teaching.

It provides practical tools like lesson plans, FAIR competence profiles and learning outcomes for the bachelor, master and doctoral level as well as information on course design and the implementation of the FAIR principles at the institutional level.

It includes community feedback received during a public consultation that was held in August and September 2021. Many thanks again to everyone who contributed. A print publication will be released in early 2022.
