About Interest groups

DTL Interest Groups focus on specific themes with cross-institutional or cross-disciplinary characters. The group members meet regularly to exchange views and explore solutions.

  • Contact Rob Hooft if you would like to start a new Interest Group.

A DTL Interest Group can be initiated by members of the DTL community who face a problem or spot an opportunity with a cross-institutional or cross-disciplinary character. The group can then be joined by others and its output is made available to the broader DTL community. A DTL Interest Group is the perfect way to learn about the views of others, to explore solutions, and to evaluate whether a collaborative effort is needed and justified.

Some Interest Groups are highly active, meet on a monthly basis, focus on well-defined topics, and define a work plan with division of labour, timelines, and a strategy to acquire joint funding. Others are less active. The DTL Core Team is available for hands-on support to DTL Interest Groups, such as organising meetings, informing the community, managing mailing lists, establishing relevant links, assisting in acquisition of funds, etc.
