Advanced Genetic & Omics Data Analysis

This up to date course in genetic association analysis includes now highly relevant topics such as the analysis for multidisciplinary research with novel omics datasets. After a short introduction into genetic epidemiology and population genetics, analysis of secondary phenotype using GWAS data and meta-analysis will be discussed. The course will moreover cover analysis and practical issues of rare variants detected by next generation sequencing for family studies. We further introduce glycomics and proteomics data analysis that includes data pre-processing issues. Pitfalls to be encountered in real data analysis will be presented.

Date: Oct 20-22, 2014

Target audience: Master and PhD students, and Post-docs who are performing genetic and genomic studies. Those who are performing genetic and genomic studies in collaboration with Molecular Epidemiology are strongly encouraged to follow this course.
