2nd National eScience Symposium: Enabling Scientific Breakthroughs

The Netherlands eScience Centre is organising it’s 2nd National eScience Symposium, showcasing some of the best data-driven and computing-intensive scientific research being undertaken around the country. The event is free to attend, but registration is required.

Last year’s symposium attracted nearly 250 participants from a broad array of scientific disciplines, but with the shared goal to utilize eScience approaches to enable scientific breakthroughs.

This year’s symposium will feature keynote speaker Professor Carole Goble of the University of Manchester, UK. Prof. Goble is a former winner of the Jim Gray eScience Award and is currently principal investigator of the myGrid, BioCatalogue and myExperiment projects. In 2014 Prof. Goble was appointed “Commander of the British Empire” in recognition of her services to science.
