There is a rapid increase in our knowledge on the role of genetics in disease, and at the same time
genetic tests are becoming more complete, faster and cheaper. Because of this, genetics will
undoubtedly be used more routinely in clinical care, but the question is how to implement the
different genetic tests in the most useful, responsible, reliable and efficient manner. This will be
discussed and debated during this interactive 1-day meeting of translational scientists, health care
providers, representatives from patient organizations as well as health care insurance companies.
