On Thursday, November 13, 2014, SURFsara organizes its yearly e-infrastructure workshop for life science research.
Aim of the workshop
Large volumes of data are being generated and processed in the field of genomics, imaging and systems biology, requiring e-infrastructure for collaboration, data management, computational analysis and storage. This workshop aims to inform life science researchers and bioinformaticians about the available national e-infrastructure, its roadmap for development, as well as to exchange experiences on the usage of e-infrastructures.
Presentations as well as hands-on sessions will be part of the program. Topcis will include ‘when to use Hadoop for life science data analyses’ and ‘how to manage data & work with trusted digital data repositories’, with stories from users and developers within the life science research community and DTL. There will be plenty of time for networking to meet co-workers.
