To encourage collaboration and communication between scientific programmers active in the Dutch life sciences field, DTL organizes regular programmers meetings. Subjects of the lectures and workshops range from new developments in programming languages through practical tips and tricks to direct life science applications. Most of the presentations are given by members of the group. During the meetings, that are always held on a Friday in Utrecht (in collaboration with SURF at their facilities), there is also plenty of time for participants to interact with each other.
Anyone interested can join the programmers meetings. Participation is free of charge, but registration is necessary. Announcements and agenda discussions are posted on the programmers mailing list.
Furthermore, there is a wiki page with more information of both past and future programmers meetings.
