Hotel Description

The Center for Information Technology (CIT) offers the full range of IT-services that enable scientists to perform their research. This varies from High Performance Computing facilities to FAIR research data facilities for storage and archiving. The CIT data services are part of the NWO large-scale scientific infrastructure. The CIT participates in both regional (Lifelines) and (inter)national projects (Excelerate) in the life sciences and is partner in BBMRI-NL.

Hotel Characteristics

  • The CIT is the central IT facility of the University Groningen. CIT also offers and cooperates in IT services with UMCG Research IT.
  • There are 25 IT specialists in HPC, datascience, visualisation (VR and AR), (human subject) research data management and Geo Services working dedicated for IT research.
