BioSB wildcards – regulations
As a token of appreciation to the organizers/lecturers of our BioSB courses, the BioSB Education Committee and the BioSB Board have launched a wildcard system. This way, BioSB gives students/staff the opportunity to participate in BioSB courses free of charge. The rules of the wildcard system are as follows:
- Upon completion of a BioSB course, wildcard certificates are handed out: one wildcard per course day and one bonus wildcard per course (that is, 6 wildcards for a 5-day course);
- Wildcards are handed out to the course coordinator(s) and may be distributed among the contributing lecturers;
- Wildcards may be used for any course starting within two years of the last day of the issuing course;
- One wildcard entitles one student to participate in one of the BioSB courses (independent of the duration of that course);
- There is a maximum of six wildcard participants per course (first come, first served);
- Registration with a wildcard must take place at least 6 weeks before the start of the course;
- The use of a wildcard must be requested from the BioSB community manager, with ‘Wildcard’ mentioned in the subject line and the wildcard certificate attached;
- For each course, the community manager will keep track of how many wildcards have been issued and used. The community manager will also provide the course coordinators with regular updates on this.
The wildcard system applies to all BioSB courses held after September 1, 2024.
If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to contact the BioSB community manager.
